A former editor, reporter, and college educator, Nancy Young is the author of the Something in the Dark Series: Seeing Things, Hearing Things, and Sensing Things, a finalist in the RWA Best Banter Contest. Set in Raleigh’s historic Oakwood neighborhood, the series incorporates much of the ghost lore of the area.
Nancy writes in other genres too. One of her upcoming novels won first place in the historical category in a different RWA contest, and two selections earned first places in RWA chapter contests. She’s also a prize-winning poet. Other works include a poetry collection (The Last Girl Standing) and dozens of poems, articles, and short stories published in journals, magazines, newspapers, and anthologies.
