Denise was a volunteer-attorney for the Author’s Guild in New York where she reviewed and explained writing and publishing contracts for Guild members. She was also a reporter for a New York newspaper covering local news and interviewing artists such as Janis Ian, Richie Havens, and Cleo Laine for feature articles.
